People First HR & Operations was formally established 2024 and while our name has changed, we’ve always been putting people first in our Human Resources practice. We are a mission-driven organization that seeks to be the change we want to see in the working world. We offer our clients a fresh approach to Human Resources that’s the kind of support our clients and their employees want in their organizations.

    At People First, we take a holistic approach and address problems and conflict with curiosity, compassion and objective observation before making changes.

    Our HR practitioners provide balance between guidance and accountability. Without accountability, there’s no progress and we’re here to set our clients up for success.

  • Whatever your HR needs, we are here to meet you where you are. Zero judgment. We’re ready to jump in- whether you’re just getting started, need day-to-day support, are looking to totally revamp your small business, and everything in between.

  • We haven’t seen it all, but we’ve seen a lot. We’re not just staying up on the latest trends and technology, we’re experienced with processes that go back to the paper days.

    Our practitioners have experience in a multitude of industries and capacities, and we lean on our networks to fill in the gaps.

  • Our services are available in all US states and some services are available outside the US.

    We’ve had experience supporting employees in every state except Alaska, and we can’t wait to bring on our first Alaskan client!

  • We’re able to support almost all of our clients remotely, but we’re happy to make site or office visits when our clients need us to.

Scotti Wingfield, MS-HRM, PHR

Founder, Client Director of Human Resources

Scotti began consulting for small businesses in 2018 after launching her HR career in 2012. She holds undergraduate degrees in Spanish and International Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Houston Christian University. She holds the HRCI certification of Professional in Human Resources, as well as the Senior Certified Professional certification from the Society of Human Resources Management.

Scotti has worked in-house in the energy, tech, manufacturing, and construction industries. Additionally, her client portfolio includes nonprofit, franchises, manufacturing, salons, retail, restaurants, and many more. Her broad experience across HR disciplines and various industries allows her to make an immediate impact.

Scotti’s passions include empowering businesses and people to evolve into the future of working, cheese, and the Houston Astros.
